About

Arun Narayanan (pronounced "uh-roon nuh-rye-nen") is a screenwriter and graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, named one of IFP’s twenty-five Emerging Storytellers in 2015. His first produced feature-length script THE TIME CAPSULE is expected to premiere on PixLTV in 2018. In 2017, his digital series ARUN CONSIDERS , which he writes, produces, and stars in, won Best Web Series at LA Indie Film Fest . Between 2015 and 2016, his pilot script THE ADVENTURES OF ASH AND OWEN was the original comedy winner in CineStory’s TV/Digital competition and a finalist in the Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Contest at the Nantucket Film Festival, the Final Draft Big Break Contest and the Page International Screenwriting Awards. He is currently represented by Joel Millner at the Larchmont Literary Agency.

About

Arun also has a career as a freelance video editor. He has edited corporate videos for companies including Disney/ABC and promotional videos for brands including Sephora, as well as documentaries, short films and music videos.  

Before turning his focus to writing and editing, Arun produced and directed a number of short films, including CELLULOID DREAMS, which aired in PBS's "Shorts Showcase" program in 2013 and 2014, and FALSE WITNESS, which began airing on ShortsTV in 2016. He also produced TAKING STOCK, a feature-length documentary set in South Africa. Many of Arun's short films are available to view on this site and Vimeo.
